Parker Legris Compressed Air Piping

Transair is a fast, flexible and easy to modify aluminum pipe system for compressed air, vacuum and inert gas applications. Transair components are reusable and interchangeable, which enables immediate and easy layout modifications. Unlike the performance of steel or copper, which degrades over time due to corrosion,

Transair provides clean air quality with optimum flow rate performance. Transair also offers significant savings on installation, maintenance and operating costs when compared to traditional pipe. The quick connections eliminate the need to thread, solder or glue pipe. With Transair, labor accounts for only 20 percent of installation costs, but with steel or copper, labor accounts for 50 - 80 percent of the installation cost. Transair’s aluminum pipe system significantly reduces plant energy costs by increasing efficiency, reducing pressure drops, and eliminating leaks.

Available in 1/2” to 6” pipe sizes, Transair features quick connect technology that secures connections with a simple push and provides a leak-free guarantee. The aluminum pipe is corrosion resistant, ensuring the longevity of equipment and avoiding frequent changes of filtration elements. Transair can also be integrated into existing copper and steel piping systems without compromising performance, making it perfect for upgrades or expansion projects.

Parker Sensors - Pressure, Temperature & Level

SensoControl® sensors feature long-term stability, interference immunity, a sturdy high-quality construction and a wide range of variants. The sensors are designed and manufactured in our own production facilities under established standards for the industrial instrumentation and control systems. This allows us to easily adapt them to customer requirements or to critical applications. We carefully consider the special requirements for automation and mobile hydraulics during the design phase. So our SensoControl® sensors are ideally suitable for the permanent series use in industrial and mobile applications.

Pressure sensors

The housing and all parts of the pressure sensors that touch the substances are manufactured from stainless steel. This provides a large range of media tolerability. A wide range of applications is possible due to the combination of high interference immunity and high resistance to external influences (shock, vibration and temperature). The application areas are varied: form process engineering test rigs, conveying and lifting equipment, mobile hydraulics, general machine construction, pneumatic construction and hydraulic plant construction. The SCP should be used when the pressure needs to be monitored reliably for long periods. In this case the optimal sensor type can be selected from different product series according to the needs of the application. Different connecting plugs, output signals and connection threads are also available.

Temperature sensors

The SCT temperature sensor should be used when a temperature signal is required. These are characterized by their unique pressure resistance up to 630 bar.

Parker A-Lok Fittings

Introduction

Parker CPI™ / A-LOK® Instrumentation Tube Fittings are designed as leak-free connections for process, power and instrumentation applications. These single and two ferrule fittings are manufactured to the highest quality standards and are available in a broad range of sizes, materials and configurations.

Features

The Parker CPI™ / A-LOK® tube fitting has been specifically designed for use on instrumentation, process and control systems, analysers and environmental equipment employed in chemical, petroleum, power generating and pulp and paper plants. CPI™ / A-LOK® fittings have also been used extensively in other applications and industries wherever high reliability and quality are required.

Materials

Parker CPI™ / A-LOK® fittings are available as standard in Heat Code Traceable, 316 stainless steel. Other materials include steel, brass, aluminum, nickel-copper, Hastelloy C®, Alloy 600, Titanium, 6Mo, Incoloy 625 and 825. Straight fittings are machined from cold finished bar stock and shaped bodies are machined from close grain forgings. The raw materials used fully conform to the chemical requirements listed in Specification Table 1 found on page 6. For nuclear and other critical applications, stainless steel CPI™ / A-LOK® fittings are readily available with documented heat code traceability.

Pipe Fittings/Adapters

Parker CPI™ / A-LOK® tube fittings are available in combination with a variety of ISO and ANSI pipe thread configurations. For a full listing of these fittings, see Catalog 4260.

Tubing

Parker CPI™ / A-LOK® tube fittings can be used with a wide variety of tubing materials and a broad range of tube wall thicknesses. CPI™ / A-LOK® seals equally well on both thin wall and heavy wall tubing. Tubing and fitting materials should be selected to be compatible with the fluid media. Due to thermal expansion characteristics and chemical stability, the tubing should be of the same material as the fitting. (The exception is brass fittings and copper tubing.)

Torque

Parker CPI™ / A-LOK® tube fittings do not twist the tubing during installation. CPI™ / A-LOK® ferrule designs assure that all make and remake motion is transmitted axially to the tubing. Since no radial movement of the tubing occurs, the tubing is not stressed. The mechanical integrity of the tubing is maintained.

No Distortion

In make-up, there is no undue force in an outward direction to distort the fitting body or ferrules to cause interference between the ferrules and nut. This assures that the nut will back-off freely for disassembly and permits a greater number of easy remakes.

Sealing

Positive, reliable connections with Parker CPI™/ A-LOK® fittings have been qualified by exhaustive tests and over four decades of experience in the manufacture of quality tube fittings.

Parker Mould Couplers

Using a special mechanism, the patented Safe-Lock™ technology reliably prevents accidental uncoupling of the systems under pressure. As the normally contiguous temperatures of the media used are between 90°C and 170°C, accidents of this nature can result in serious burns. The only alternatives to the TALKOB® Safe-Lock™ systems are double shut-off couplings, with which, however, the complex valve technology has a strong negative impact on the flow values.

In the catalogue, Safe-Lock™ systems are easy to find using the green highlighting of the part numbers and the Safe-Lock™ symbol.

TALKOB® Safe-Lock™ Coupling Systems
• Reliably eliminate the risk of serious burns
• Cannot be disconnected under pressure
• Are available both for our European and international
ranges
• Are 100 % compatible with TALKOB® standard
systems and are therefore also easy to retrofit at
a later date
• Are resistant to oil and water up to 180°C
• Are compliant with EU safety directive 97/23/EF
enclosure 1
